Many people around the Highschool football world are calling the game between The Dragons of Southlake Carroll and The Bulls of Miami Northwestern the Highschool game of the Century. On Saturday night at Ford Stadium on the SMU campus in Dallas we will all get to see what all this hype is about. One reason people are talking so much about this game is the fact that both Northwestern and Carroll won their states State Title in 2006 and many have tabbed both teams to repeat this fall. Not only are both teams coached well and ran like College programs, but the talent on the field Saturday night might be the most on any highschool field this year. With between 15 and 20 senoirs on the field with division offers this game has the makings of a classic. Many have asked Derek and myself to repost the videos we have on both schools, so here you guys go.
Today TexasPreps will be giving you a look at a few of the players from Madisonville High. Everyone in the world of recruiting already knows about All-State RB Chris Whaley, but the Mustangs are more than just a one man show. Coach Morgan has a talented group of players on both Offense and Defense coming back to help him go after the District 19-3A title this fall. To start with Coach has coming back at QB Kyle Morgan, Kyle last year throw for over 1,500 yards and 17 TD's while only throwing 1 int in the process. Leading the way on the other side of the ball is Alonzo Whaley, last year Alonzo lead his team with more than 170 tackles and this year will be lining up in the backfield with his brother Chris to make this one of the top Backfields in the state of Texas. As the season nears I will be giving you guys more and more videos to watch. Next up will be Mansfield Summit. The district 4-5A team that has many talking District title and after a few of these videos you will see why. Back will be most of last years defense that should be very good with more D-1 talent than most entire teams, and on the other side of the ball Coach Geller teams never has a problem putting points on the score board and 2007 will be no different. Austin Bowie has long been known as a school that college recruiters must stop by on their trips to central Texas. This coming year will be no different. With 12 starters coming back and many of the players from last years 9-1 JV team expected to move into the other starting roles the Bulldogs will have the experience on both sides of the ball to have a very good season this fall. Also on the Bowie team is one of the top 2010 prospects in the state. Today I will be showcasing my first freshman I have ever done and I have already had college coaches contact me about his play on the field. Playing last year at 6'3 205 DeAndre Perry already has the size and speed to play at the next level. This will be the first time his highlights will be shown anywhere online.
